Inspired Innovation...

Thoughought my career, I've always had a passion for the "WHAT IF" ? All to often, we watch individuals, institutions and businesses fail because they are simply stuck...Stuck in old patters, stale ideas, distorted interpretations of reality, and an unfortunate tolerance for staus quo. I've been there, and its a dark and lonely place that is devoid of inspiration and passion for possibility and innovation, and a place I prefer not to go back to.

As many of us, I've been blessed with a few good mentors throughout my life, each of whom anchored me in the principles I try and work and live by. But none have been more important to me than the ability to constantly ask "what if?" However, for me, this has become much more than a question, and much more of an "attitude"- and what I now refer to as the "ATTITUDE OF INNOVATION".

For many, a "good attitude" usually translates into "staying positive" and always "hoping for the best". In business, it often means a state of mind that is always in pursuit of the "right answer" and always trying to emulate the behaviors and practices of those that have succeeded before us. But for me, the "attitude of innovation" goes considerably farther than that.

For me an "attitude of innovation" is defined by an unyielding passion for moving BEYOND today's reality, often thorough unplowed ground and unchartered waters, to a new reality...one that is bigger, bolder and exponentially better than what we live in today. For me, this starts with the boldness of our vision, the ambitiosness of how we set our goals and targets, a relentless focus on tracking and monitoring our progress, and the degree to which we hold ourselves accountable - through the emotional anguish and introspection we put ourselves through when we lose, to the strong celebratory emotions of winning.

My life goal is helping others discover the behaviors, practices, and tools that can integrate this invaluable cultural dynamic within the fabric of their lives and professional endeavors.
